Vijay Jain, M.D. brings more than 30 years of experience in General Surgery and 10 years of focused study of integrative medicine to his engaging integration of traditional/Western medicine with ancient medicine and well-tried systems of healing from different cultures. He has studied mind/body medicine with Dr. Deepak Chopra, MD; yoga therapy from Vivekananda Research Center in Bangalore, India; courses in Ayurveda medicine with Dr. Sunil Joshi in Nagpur, India; and courses in Integrative Medicine with Dr. Andrew Weil in Tucson, AZ. In addition to his surgery practice, Dr. Jain lectures on Ayurveda principles and practices and how to create optimal health. Recently, he has become interested in the science of graceful aging as it relates to holistic practices. At present, Dr. Jain is the Medical Director of Mind Body Wellness Center, Flagler Beach, Florida and conducts all Panchakarma programs. He is a founding director of International University of Yoga and Ayurveda. Dr. Jain is also Board member of Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America, Inc. (AAPNA).

Shekhar Annambhotla, is a classically trained Ayurvedic specialist, licensed integrative bodywork and massage therapist, registered yoga instructor, Certified Reiki Healer and Certified Pranic Healer who has been practicing and teaching Ayurveda worldwide since 1988. His passion and love for Ayurveda fuels his vision for the development and growth of Ayurveda, including creating and implementing high quality education and training programs in the West. Shekhar began his eight-year course of study in Ayurveda at the age of 17, first at Nagarjuna University in Andhra Pradesh, India (1982-88) and then at Gujarat Ayurveda University in Gujarat, India (1988-91), where he earned his Postgraduate Master Degree in Ayurveda. He is also a Licensed Integrative Bodywork and Massage Therapist (LMT) and an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E.R.Y.T.-500) with the Yoga Alliance and an instructor of therapeutic Hatha Yoga, having completed training at the Swami Vivekananda Yoga Research Center in India. Shekhar is also a certified Pranic Healer, a certified Reiki Healer and a certication in Energy Medicine. From 1992 – 1994, Shekhar worked as an Associate Professor at N.K.J. Ayurvedic Medical College (Gulburga University), Bidar, Karnataka State, India. From 1994 – 2001, Shekhar has the opportunity to serve at Maharishi Vedic Schools and Universities in The Netherlands, Austria, Hungary, Italy, Germany, France, Switzerland, Great Britain, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Trinidad, Guadeloupe, Jamaica (Caribbean Island), Colombia (South America), Canada, and the U.S.A. During his extensive travels, he delivered lectures and offered consultations on Ayurveda for health professionals and for the general public. He gave several newspaper interviews and radio talks on Ayurveda and was also interviewed on BBC’s Breakfast Television. Since 2002,  Dr. Shekhar has been the Founding Director of Ojas LLC, Ayurveda Wellness Center, in Pennsylvania, USA. He is the Founder, President and Chairman of the Board of Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America (AAPNA) (www.aapna.org). He is Founding Director of Global Ayurveda Conferences, LLC, USA. Dr. Shekhar served on the Board of Directors for National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) from 2005-2010. He has taught ayurveda courses in many prestigious universities in the United States including University of Pennsylvania (UPENN), University of Medicine & Dentistry in NJ (UMDNJ), Hershey Medical School, Jefferson Medical School, University of Penn Nursing School, and others. He was awarded the “Tathagat International Excellence Award 2011” in Dubai and received the award “Ayurveda Khandantara Sthapanacharya” Award for promoting ayurveda around the globe. David Frawley, Pandit Vamadeva Shastri, is one of the few Westerners ever recognized in India as an authentic Vedic teacher, where his work is known and honored throughout the country. He is a teacher of Ayurveda, Yoga and Vedic astrology, who shows how Yoga and Vedic systems of knowledge interface for optimizing our human potential. His many books include Yoga and Ayurveda, Ayurveda and the Mind, Ayurvedic Healing, Meditation Vedantic and Yoga for Your Type (forthcoming). 

He is currently the Director of the American Institute of Vedic Studies, President of the American Council of Vedic Astrology (ACVA), on the faculty for the Chopra Wellness Center and on the editorial board for the magazine Yoga International. Dr. Frawley has a 20 year background in natural healing, including the systems of Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine, Western Herbalism and Vedic Astrology. He has a doctor’s degree in oriental medicine from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine, Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he taught herbal medicine for several years. He is associated with the Ashtanga Ayurveda College in Pune, India and other Ayurvedic schools in India, where he has lectured on a number of occasions. Currently he is Director of the American Institute of Vedic Studies in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Dr. Frawley is the author of numerous books and articles on Ayurveda and other Vedic topics. He has presented seminars at the Ayurvedic Institute for many years.

Professor J.N. Mishra, Ph.D. (Ayu), retired in 2004 after serving 37 years as Post Graduate Teacher Head and Dean Faculty of Ayurveda, Lucknow University, Uttar Pradesh, India. He has guided about 75 MD’s in Ayurveda and 15 PhD scholars in Ayurveda and was involved in research activities, achieving many milestones during this period. 

Prof. Mishra attended many national and international conferences, seminars and workshops and recently was facilitated by International Charak Award of excellence in teaching and research at Los Angeles by Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America. His research work has been published in many national and international journals and he is the author of two books. 

Prof. Mishra is member of different selection committees, faculty of Universities, executive councils and is a life member and General Secretary of Bharat Seva Sansthan which deals with education, medical health and training programs for downtrodden and BPL in India particularly in rural areas.

B.V.Venkata Krishna Sastry, Ph.D., (aka BVK Sastry) hails from a south Indian Vedic orthodox family in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He has formal education in science, engineering and management disciplines. He has a doctoral degree in Sanskrit, with specialization for research in Vedic traditions and Dharma-Shastra’s. Dr. Sastry inherits a family heritage of five generations in Vedanta,Yoga, Dharmashastra and Sri-Vidya practicing traditions. He is family-trained in traditional Vedic studies, priestly services, Vedic-astrology and allied disciplines of Vastu, yoga and meditation practices. 

Dr. BVK Sastry has contributed to many print and digital publications through International Sanskrit Research Academy, founded by him in 1990’s. He is an online programs developer and educator in the areas of many Indian traditional disciplines. Dr. Sastry is a passionate researcher in South Indian secret yoga traditions. He is the current master of Vak-yoga (Spiritual linguistics), a long-time dormant tradition of studying Samskrutham as Vedanga, Mantra-Yoga and Shabda-Brahma darshana. This dormant tradition is encrypted in Paninian Samskrutham grammar ‘Ashtadhyaya’ and commented by Patanajlai as Shadanushasana Vak-yoga. Vak-Yoga holds the key to unfold the secrets of living traditions and practices related to Srividya, Tantra, Mantra-healing in Ayurveda. Yogopanishad’s works provide further practice guidance. Dr. Sastry is an avid researcher in Samskrutham and Yoga traditions, an educator, a language technologist, a visionary working to unify Jnanam and Vijnanam for loka-samgraha. Dr. Sastry has traveled widely across the globe, published hundreds of articles, many conference presentations, developed online teaching courses and has participated in and organized many international conferences. He is working to establish Yoga-Samskrutham University in Florida with the mission to foster Yoga-Samskrutham Language Excellence, an effort to transform local Gurukul to Global University.

Dr. Virender Sodhi earned his Ayurvedic Degree from Dayanand Ayurvedic College in Jalandar, Punjab, India in 1980. He served as a college professor in India until 1986, when the Indian government selected him to share Ayurveda with Western society as part of a cultural exchange program. After arriving in the United States, Dr. Sodhi enrolled at Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington. He received his N.D. degree from Bastyr in 1988. He was subsequently invited to join the faculty at Bastyr to teach Ayurvedic sciences. Dr. Sodhi completed a Fellowship in Integrative Oncology with Dr. Mark Rosenberg in 2012.

Dr. Sodhi has been a visiting professor at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Scottsdale, Arizona, at the University of Washington, School of Pharmacy, and at Des Moines University in Iowa. In addition to educating students at academic institutions, Dr. Sodhi has educated the general public about the benefits of Naturopathic and Ayurvedic medicine, both nationally and internationally. He has been featured on several radio and television programs across the country, including an hour-long talk show titled Ayurveda: Wealth of Health featured during the summer of 1997 on KEZX, a local radio station in Seattle, Washington. He shares his knowledge of Ayurveda by lecturing in hospitals, conferences, and other universities in the United States, as well as in Italy, Switzerland, Holland, Japan, New Zealand, Australia and Canada. Dr. Sodhi has served on the Panel of Experts with Dr. Andrew Weil for Natural Health magazine, and has been featured in the ‘Ask the Experts’ column many times. He is the most quoted naturopathic physician in the reference book Alternative Medicine: the Definitive Guide, and is featured in The Textbook of Natural Medicine. His articles have appeared in several publications including the Protocol Journal of Botanical Medicine, World & I magazine, India Post and the Ayurvedic News Quarterly. He also served as the Appointed Advisor for Natural Products to the government of Australia. Along with his three brothers, he envisioned and formed Ayush Herbs, Inc., which offers the highest quality Ayurvedic herbal products and supplements worldwide. Presently, Dr. Sodhi published a book on Ayurvedic Herbs and attending to patients from all over the world at the Ayurvedic & Naturopathic Medical Clinic in Bellevue, Washington.
